Guided by the theme "Isang Puno Para sa Anak, Isang Luntian Para sa Bayan," the activity underscored the shared responsibility of communities in preserving and protecting the environment for future generations. The program opened with a registration period, followed by the singing of the national anthem and an opening prayer that set a reflective tone for the event.
Welcome remarks were delivered by Kagawad Rhoy Dalumpines, Chairperson of the Committee on Environment, who emphasized the importance of collective environmental action and community participation. Participants were then oriented on the objectives and procedures of the tree planting activity, followed by inspirational messages from community leaders and representatives who highlighted the role of every individual in promoting environmental sustainability.
With the active participation of Eco Kolek staff, Eco Warriors, and community stakeholders, the tree planting proper commenced, with seedlings planted as symbols of hope, responsibility, and shared commitment to a greener and healthier community. Beyond the act of planting itself, the activity represented a long-term investment in environmental conservation and a lasting legacy for future generations.
The event concluded with a group photograph and closing remarks, leaving participants inspired and united in their continuing mission to care for the environment and build a more sustainable future for all.
Through this initiative, Eco Kolek reaffirmed its commitment to environmental stewardship and community partnership, standing alongside local government units and grassroots organizations in cultivating a greener, more resilient Puerto Princesa.
