The Eco Warriors recently completed a basic first aid training session organized by the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO). The session, held to enhance the preparedness of these community advocates, was attended by 16 participants—7 males and 9 females.
The training was focused on equipping the Eco Warriors with the necessary skills to respond effectively to various emergencies, including fire outbreaks and vehicular collisions. The participants were guided through the proper procedures for assessing and managing accidents, ensuring that they are well-prepared to act quickly and efficiently in critical situations.
In addition to theoretical instruction, the training emphasized practical application. The Eco Warriors engaged in hands-on demonstrations, practicing the use of triangular bandages on one another. This hands-on approach allowed them to gain confidence and proficiency in applying first aid techniques, which are vital in stabilizing victims before professional medical help arrives.
The CDRRMO’s training session is part of a broader effort to build resilience within communities by empowering the Eco Warriors with essential life-saving skills. By ensuring that these committed individuals are prepared to handle emergencies, the initiative contributes to the safety and well-being of the neighborhoods they serve.
