Project Zacchaeus' Eco Kolek, in partnership with the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), recently conducted a fire safety awareness training session aimed at equipping Eco Warriors with crucial knowledge and skills in fire prevention. The session, which took place with 19 participants (8 males and 11 females), was designed to enhance the safety and preparedness of the Eco Warriors, who are integral to their communities.
The training addressed key topics, including the common causes of fires, effective fire mitigation strategies, and appropriate responses during fire outbreaks. BFP experts emphasized the importance of recognizing fire hazards in everyday environments, offering practical advice on preventing incidents through proper safety measures.
One of the highlights of the training was the hands-on demonstration of fire extinguisher use. Participants practiced operating different types of fire extinguishers under the guidance of BFP personnel, ensuring they left with the confidence and skills needed to respond effectively in emergencies.
This collaboration between Eco Kolek and BFP reflects the project's commitment to the comprehensive development and safety of its Eco Warriors. By empowering them with fire prevention and response skills, Eco Kolek aims to contribute not only to environmental sustainability but also to the overall safety and resilience of the communities they serve.
